I love Quail Run! Beautiful , secure and well maintained grounds, with high end furnished homes,good for long term as well as shorter stays. Awesome lap pool with warm water therapy pool and two jacuzzis . Clean locker room that includes a steam room and excellent showers with all amenities. Golf course, tennis courts, country club living at its finest!

Quail Run is a 30 year old golf community located on the outskirts of Santa Fe, at the intersection of I-25 and Old Pecos Trail. It caters to older adults, and offers outside memberships for its gym, tennis and pool. It has no facilities for children, and restricts their use of the pool. The golf course is underused and therefore easily scheduled. The pool and gym are excellent year-round exercise facilities, but poor recreational choices. It has an adequate restaurant. All amenities are closed on Mondays. Many of the units available for shorter-term rental have excessive highway and freeway noise. They tend to be decorated in idiosyncratic styles, with Santa Fe attitude on the part of the owners. The brokerage handling the rentals acts on the owners behalf, and and failed to maintain adequate quality control of the properties. A disappointment.

This 'resort' is outdated and the buildings have not been maintained. The property management company doesn't communicate with renters and many issues go unanswered and unresolved, tending to create many problems for all. The rents are extraordinarily high for the poor/rundown facilities and shabby treatment from the property management group. Avoid it!

Quail Run has a beautiful setting on a bit of an open slope with great views of the mountains and sunsets from just about everywhere. The golf course, tennis courts, modern, clean and bright gym and pool are top-notch and never crowded, so it's really an attractive club to join for locals. The restaurant, which doesn't get the attention of the downtown places is actually excellent, and with the elegant public or common areas I believe they would do a great job with a small conference or a wedding. Plus, you can live there!
